Email is the only way to reach us, and it's read by a person: hello@isthisemailascam.com.
What we can help with
- Corrections. If a page is wrong or out of date, tell us which page and what's wrong. These get answered first.
- A tool that doesn't work, or a search that misses. Tell us whether it was the link checker or the guide search, and describe what you typed (please don't send the message itself or any personal details), what you expected, and which browser you use.
- Suggestions. A pattern we should explain, or something that was hard to understand.
- A bad ad. If an ad on this site looks like a scam, tell us which page it was on.
Please don't send us suspicious messages
We can't tell you whether a particular message is a scam, and forwarding one can pass along a harmful link. Use the link checker or the guide search, which run on your own device, and report the message to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov or the FBI at ic3.gov.
If you've lost money, please don't wait for us. Contact the company you paid through right away: your bank at the number on the back of your card; the payment app (such as Venmo, Cash App or PayPal) or the wire transfer company (such as Western Union or MoneyGram), through its own app or a website you type in yourself; or, for a gift card, the company that issued it. Then follow the steps on our page for what to do if you clicked or paid.
What we'll never ask for
We'll never ask you for money, passwords, codes, or account or Social Security numbers, and we never call or text. If someone does that in our name, it isn't us.
Replies usually take a few days.
